Amitabh Bachchan Was Touched By Abhishek Bachchan's Performance In Ghoomer, Says, 'Eyes Have Been In The Aqua Flow'

Amitabh Bachchan gave his thoughts on his son Abhishek's film 'Ghoomer', which also starred Saiyami Kher.

New Delhi: After an absence of more than a year from the big screen, Abhishek Bachchan is finally returning. The actor's next project is the highly anticipated sports drama film ‘Ghoomer’, directed by R Balki. The film has been making waves among movie buffs and opened the 14th Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) to a standing ovation from the crowd. Even Abhishek Bachchan's father, Amitabh Bachchan, gave his thoughts on the forthcoming film. On Friday (August 18), ‘Ghoomer; will hit the theatres.

Amitabh Bachchan saw ‘Ghoomer’ twice and wrote an excellent review on his blog. He said the movie made him feel so emotional that he shed some tears.

Big B wrote: "So yes saw Ghoomer back to back twice .. Sunday afternoon .. and then at night again .. and the verdict is beyond mention .. simply incredible.. eyes have been in the aqua flow from the very first frame .. and when the progeny is involved, they flow copiously .. and each reaction has some wonder in their thoughts and words and deeds .. each notices something that is so endearing and appealing."

Amitabh also lauded the film's director, R. Balki, lead actress Saiyami Kher and the film's narrative on his blog. He said that every word is so well chosen that it depicts the story of the losers and the victors that we have all experienced.

He wrote, “The emotions relate to yes the game of cricket and the tale of a girl and her ambition .. but it is really the feel of the depiction and its impress upon not just the game, but of the effect of family, of the mother, of what middle India stands for in our lives ..it is the simplicity of the way the narration occurs .. it is the deftness with which R Balki has knitted before us, in the simplest of manner, a most complex idea .. of losers and winners .. of what each one of us has been through.”

Amitabh Bachchan has appeared in three films directed by R Balki: ‘Cheeni Kum’, ‘Paa’, and ‘Shamitabh’.
