Bollywood star Akshay Kumar found himself playing peacemaker at a packed promotional event for his new film, 'Housefull 5', in Pune on Sunday. The actor was joined by co-stars Nana Patekar, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, Soundarya Sharma, and Fardeen Khan at a bustling shopping mall. However, the enthusiasm of the massive crowd quickly spiraled out of control as fans clamored for a glimpse of their favourite stars.
Videos circulating on social media show the chaos that unfolded. A woman was seen in tears, while another man struggled to catch his breath as he tried to escape the crush.
Akshay Kumar requests fans to avoid pushing
Seeing the situation intensify, Akshay Kumar stepped in with an urgent plea to the crowd. Grabbing the microphone, he implored everyone to stay calm and avoid pushing.
“Aap log ko yahan se jana padega. Aap dhakka dhukki mat kariye. Haath jod ke vinanti karta hoon, yaha auratein hai, bacche hai (You will have to leave. Don’t push... I am requesting with folded hands as women and children are present here). I request everyone,” he said, trying to restore order and ensure everyone’s safety.

Despite an early setback at the Pune promotional event of Housefull 5, things eventually got back on track for the film’s cast. Once the initial chaos among the crowd settled down, Akshay Kumar and his co-stars were able to carry on with the event and interact with their fans.

The latest installment in the Housefull franchise is directed by Tarun Mansukhani and promises a wild mix of laughter and mystery. Set against the lavish backdrop of a luxury cruise, the film revolves around a murder that turns the vacation upside down. Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, and Abhishek Bachchan are at the heart of the whodunit, as they find themselves prime suspects.
Adding to the film’s impressive line-up are Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, Chitrangada Singh, Shreyas Talpade, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Nana Patekar, Fardeen Khan, and Chunky Panday, among others.
'Housefull 5' is scheduled to hit cinemas on June 6.
