At the trailer launch of 'Metro In Dino' in Mumbai on Wednesday, Aditya Roy Kapur shared his thoughts on modern dating and relationship red flags—just a day after his ex-girlfriend, Ananya Panday, also spoke about relationships and red flags in a candid interview.

While discussing the evolving language around dating and romance, Aditya said, “I don’t even understand what the term situationship means, I am old school like that.” When asked about green and red flags in relationships, the actor added, “For me, a red flag would be someone who has gotten a prison record. If they land up in your hall with suitcases, it might be a problem. And someone being kind is a green flag for me. That is important because if you are planning to see someone for a long time and end up being in all kinds of situations, but if they are kind it’s a green flag.”

Interestingly, Aditya’s remarks came right after Ananya Panday—his former partner—opened up in a June 3 interview about her past relationship patterns. Speaking to Bombay Times Lounge, she said, "Again, it comes from that people-pleasing personality trait that I have. You should actually be yourself, and your partner should accept you for who you are.” She went on to list the red flags she has learned to recognise: “For me, the biggest red flags are the obvious ones — like cheating, lying, disrespecting you in public and all of that. I think someone who can't be happy for you when you are doing well is a big red flag, especially for successful women.”
'Metro In Dino' features an ensemble cast including Pankaj Tripathi, Anupam Kher, and Ali Fazal, alongside Aditya and Sara. The film, which explores the complexities of love in contemporary times, is set for a theatrical release on July 4.
