While Abhay didn’t share the moment himself, videos from the night have gone viral online. The footage, reportedly from May 16 at Avatar nightclub in Gurugram, shows the actor casually DJing live. Dressed in a laid-back T-shirt and wearing shades, Abhay channeled a cool, no-fuss vibe, keeping his focus on the console and largely avoiding eye contact with the crowd. In one clip, he’s even seen smoking while continuing to drop beats.

Social media couldn’t get enough of Abhay’s DJ avatar, with many drawing amusing comparisons to his brother Bobby Deol’s infamous DJ stint years ago.
Some fans joked that, “The D in Deol stands for being a DJ, apparently,” while another wrote, “He is a student of Lord DJ Bobby, he took lessons from the best.” A third chimed in, “Following his bhayia (brother) Bobby.”

Others were completely smitten by Abhay’s effortless cool, posting comments like, “I find him so so hot” and “He's so hot.” One fan even playfully said, “He is in his Dev D arc.” Another simply summed it up with, “He is looking so 🔥.”
Throwback to Bobby Deol’s DJ days
The comparisons are understandable, as Bobby Deol made headlines back in 2016 for his DJ appearance at a nightclub in Delhi. At the time, The Animal actor faced backlash for playing songs from his 1997 film Gupt.
Responding to the criticism, Bobby had told Hindustan Times at that time, “I love music but I’m not a DJ. But people went crazy on social media, trolling and making fun of it. But what do you do? You go for an event and if you’re the actor, you are going to play your music. You are not going to play some other actor’s songs. In fact, I wasn’t playing my songs, the DJ was. I was the star there and everybody was there to see Bobby Deol.”
