Aamir Khan Shares Favourite Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan Performances, Says He Hasn’t Seen Jawan Or Pathaan

At a recent summit, Aamir Khan praised Salman and Shah Rukh's iconic roles and confirmed they’re open to a joint film. He named his favourite performances by both actors.

They’ve long been celebrated as the pillars of Bollywood’s modern era — Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan. While fans have often debated who tops the trio, Aamir recently reminded everyone that beyond the headlines and box office battles, there’s a deep-rooted respect and affection that binds the three superstars.

Speaking at the Bollywood Hungama Style Icons Summit & Awards 2025, Aamir opened up about his admiration for Shah Rukh and Salman, naming some of their performances that left a lasting impression on him.

Aamir’s Favourite Films Featuring Salman and Shah Rukh

During an interaction at the event, Aamir was asked about the roles he loved most from his contemporaries. He said, “My favourite performance of Salman’s is 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' and 'Dabangg'. As for Shah Rukh, I really loved 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge', and 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' is one of my favourite films of his. I haven’t seen his recent films 'Pathaan' and 'Jawan'.”

The statement showcased not only his honesty but also his appreciation for their long-standing contribution to Indian cinema — a sentiment fans have celebrated widely.

Birthday Bash Brings the Khans Together

Just a few weeks before the summit, the three Khans made headlines again when Shah Rukh and Salman were seen arriving at Aamir Khan’s birthday party. While SRK chose to keep a low profile by hiding his face from the cameras, Salman arrived in signature style, escorted by heavy security. The moment sparked renewed buzz among fans hoping to see the trio collaborate on screen.

Could a Three-Khan Film Finally Happen?

During a previous appearance on 'The Great Indian Kapil Show', Aamir shared that he had spoken to both Salman and Shah Rukh about the idea of a joint project. “After so many years in the industry, it would be unfair to audiences if we didn’t collaborate on at least one film together,” he had said.

He also mentioned that both stars are open to the idea and are simply waiting for the right script and director to bring it to life. “We are hoping good directors will approach them with interesting scripts so they can work together soon,” he added.

What’s Next for the Khans?

Aamir Khan is gearing up for the release of his next film, 'Sitaare Zameen Par', a sports comedy-drama directed by R.S. Prasanna, co-starring Genelia Deshmukh. It hits theatres on June 20.

Salman Khan is currently working on an action-packed project with Sanjay Dutt and has 'Kick 2' lined up next. Shah Rukh Khan, meanwhile, is busy filming King, a Siddharth Anand directorial that is rumoured to feature Suhana Khan, Rani Mukerji, Deepika Padukone, and Abhishek Bachchan, though the final cast is yet to be officially confirmed.
