New Delhi: The sixteenth season of the celebrity reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ will start on October 1, 2022. Like every year there are speculations about the name of the contestants who will be a part of the show hosted by Salman Khan. Names from Soundarya Sharma, and Gautam Vig to Tina Dutta and Sreejita De were doing the rounds.
Through the latest promos released by the makers, we have the names of three confirmed contestants for this season. Makers have dropped two promos giving hints about one contestant in each of the promos. The promo released on Monday, showed a contestant speaking about herself, her face was not visible. The contestant gets introduced as, “Hindustan ki chahiti bahu hone ke saath saath main ek lawyer bhi hu. Iss combination ke saath main kaise haar sakti hu Bigg Boss?”
Going by the voice and the hint, it is confirmed that she is television actor Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia. Fans also guessed the name in the comment section.
Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia was last seen in the television show ‘Chhoti Sardarni.’
The second promo that was released on Tuesday introduced the contestant as, “Imli Ka Buta Beri Ka Per, Is season key hum do sher...” The caption read: “Shero ke sher, Bigg Boss utrenge iss maidaan mein khelne yeh khel.”
The promo hints at ‘Imli’ actress Sumbul Touqeer as the next confirmed contestant. Fans again were quick to comment and guess the name.
Earlier, actor Gautam Vig, who has worked in ‘Pinjara Khubsurti Ka’, ‘Tantra’, ‘Naamkarann’, was also confirmed through a short video, where he was seen wearing a mask and revealing some information about himself. Netizens were quick to guess the actor’s name.
In one of the promos, Salman dons the look of Amrish Puri's Mogambo by wearing a black jacket with gold detailing and that iconic bracelet. He sits on a white throne with crystal balls, just like Mogambo was shown sitting in the 1987 movie 'Mr India', featuring Anil Kapoor and the late Sridevi.
Salman gives his own twist to the immortal line from the movie -- "Mogambo khush hua"(Mogambo is happy now) -- and says, "Mogambo ab kabhi khush nahi hoga kyunki ab sabko darr lagega Bigg Boss se, Bigg Boss 16 game badlega kyunki Bigg Boss ab khud khelega (Mogambo will never be happy now because now everyone will be scared of Bigg Boss. With Bigg Boss 16, the game will change. Now, Bigg Boss will play himself)."
