Bharti Singh Apologises For Unintentionally Hurting Religious Sentiments Of Sikh Community

Bharti Singh uploaded a video of herself in which she apologised for hurting people's emotions with her comic manner.

New Delhi: Bharti Singh's comedic antics have gotten her into trouble once again. An old video of the comedian went viral when it was discovered to offend religious sentiments of Sikh community. Due to the negative feedback on the video, she posted a video and apologised for hurting people's feelings with her comedic style.

Bharti Singh appears on a talk show with actor Jasmin Bhasin in a video that has gone viral on social media. Bharti Singh made joke about the benefits of having a beard and a moustache. Video footage seems to show her discussing 'dadhi mooch'. If one drinks milk with the beard in it, she says, it will taste like sevaiyaan, and there is a danger of lice getting into it.

However, she has made an apology for this since it has hurt the feelings of several groups. In the video, she spoke in Punjabi, "For the last two days, I've been receiving video messages of myself. I've watched it several times and urge you to do the same. I didn't make fun of any particular religion or caste in the video. I didn't mock Punjabi guys who wear beards and endure certain difficulties. My buddy and I were simply making light of the fact that beards are so common these days. I humbly beg for forgiveness if I have offended anybody or anything because of my act. The city of Amritsar, Punjab, is where I grew up. As a Punjabi, I am proud of my heritage and I will do my best to preserve it."

On a personal front, Bharti Singh, who is married to Haarsh Limbachiyaa, has just given birth to a baby boy.
