Almost Famous DJ Duo Set To Return For Season 2 Of 'The Tribe'

Almost Famous, the DJ duo, will reprise their role in Amazon's "The Tribe" Season 2 after Season 1's success.

The Los Angeles-based music producer and DJ duo Almost Famous is all set to make a much-anticipated return in Season 2 of Amazon Prime Video’s The Tribe. Following the breakout success of Season 1, Simarjeet Saini and Rishab Sadarangani—who together form Almost Famous—are eager to reprise their role in the project.

A Youth Favorite with Global Appeal

According to reports, the duo is excited to be back on board with the youth-centric series produced by Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment. The show quickly gained a fanbase among younger audiences for its refreshing portrayal of young Indian influencers navigating life and fame in LA, and Almost Famous played a key role in establishing the show’s signature musical tone.

Season 1’s Chart-Topping Success

After its 2024 debut, The Tribe Season 1 saw massive international success, topping charts across India, Canada, and the Middle East. Known for fusing creativity, ambition, and youth culture, the series earned praise for integrating real-world music talent into its storytelling—particularly the contributions from Almost Famous, who were featured not just in the soundtrack but also made appearances throughout the episodes. Their mix of global beats, hip-hop, and cinematic sounds helped define the series' unique aural identity.

Bigger Role in Season 2

Season 2 is currently in development, and sources indicate that the involvement of Almost Famous will be even more prominent this time around. Their manager and business developer, Hardik Zaveri, shared that the upcoming season will take a deeper dive into the duo’s evolving musical journey. Fans can expect a more immersive experience, showcasing their artistry both in the narrative and through the music.

Global Music Momentum

This return to The Tribe comes at a time when Almost Famous is riding a wave of growing global success. Their latest single “Unsick,” a collaboration with rapper Tyla Yaweh, has been making waves online. Their music video—produced by Simarjeet Saini—featuring French Montana and Guru Randhawa, amassed 50 million streams in its first month alone.

A Powerhouse of Collaborations

Over the years, the duo has also built an impressive portfolio of collaborations, working with international names such as Young Paris, Yung Blu, OT Genasis, Kennedi Lyken, Ali Zafar, and Soulja Boy. Their song “Let Me Go” was also part of The Tribe Season 1, which starred Hollywood actor and model Ana K Cruz.

At the Intersection of Music and Storytelling

As anticipation builds for The Tribe Season 2, Almost Famous continues to stand at the crossroads of global music and digital storytelling. Their ability to resonate with both international and Gen Z audiences positions them as one of the most exciting acts to watch. Further updates about the new season are expected to be announced soon.
