Earlier, he exuded confidence of his party (BJP) returning to power in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

“Main aapko kehna chahunga, saatve pataal mein bhi honge unko(terrorists) main chhodne wala nahi hoon”, PM Narendra Modi said at a rally in Ahmedabad.
"What our opposition leaders say become headlines in Pakistan newspaper today," Modi said.
"Don't worry... I am coming back in 2019 so if you need anything from the Central government, you can tell me," he told a gathering of the Patidar community at Jaspur.
Ahmedabad (Gujarat): PM Narendra Modi on Monday said he won’t spare the perpetrators of the 2008 Ahmedabad bombings saying they would be brought out from even the deepest of hell. Addressing a rally in his home state, PM said he visited the civil hospital today and it brought back the grim memories of those injured and killed in the 2008 bomb blasts that ripped the city. “Main aapko kehna chahunga, saatve pataal mein bhi honge unko(terrorists) main chhodne wala nahi hoon, ”drawing an applause from the spectators. Fifty-six people were killed and over 200 people were injured in the 21 blasts across the city on July 26, 2008. He lashed out at the opposition for “maligning India's armed forces and weakening their morale”. "What our opposition leaders say become headlines in Pakistan newspaper today," Modi said. In a veiled reference to India's air strike in Pakistan, Modi said, "If one work gets over, our government doesn't sleep, but gets ready for another." "We won't lag behind when it comes to taking big and bitter decisions," he said. Referring to the 2008 attack at Ahmedabad civil hospital, Modi said, "should not those sitting in Delhi at that time have taught those sitting in Pakistan a lesson." Earlier, he exuded confidence of his party (BJP) returning to power in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. "Don't worry... I am coming back in 2019 so if you need anything from the Central government, you can tell me," he told a gathering of the Patidar community at Jaspur near here. The Prime Minister was speaking at the foundation stone-laying ceremony of the Rs 1,000 crore Umiya Mata Temple complex of the community on the outskirts of Ahmedabad. Wishing all success to the trustees of Umiya Mata Foundation for this project, Modi said, amid huge applause, "If you need anything in this, my home in New Delhi is all yours, and don't worry I am there even after 2019 (elections)".
