Khair Bypoll: Aligarh District Announces Traffic Diversions For By-Elections. Check Details

In view of the Khair Assembly by-election, Aligarh administration has diverted routes on a large scale on 20 November. Entry of heavy/commercial vehicles will be restricted on the restricted routes.

Khair ByPolls 2024: The Aligarh district administration is on high alert due to the by-election being held in the Khair Assembly constituency of Aligarh. However, the focus will be on the traffic routes in and around the Khair constituency. Traffic snarls have been an issue in the region and featured in the campaigns of the candidates as well.

The administration implemented several diversions on Wednesday to ease the traffic in Khair. For a long time, the Khair assembly segment has been infamous for its traffic snarls. The traffic jams have been a major pain point for the voters of the region, which is why all the candidates made it their most important issue in the by-election.

For now, the police and administration have made elaborate traffic diversion plans for the Khair bypoll on November 20. Voting will be held from 7 AM to 5 PM for the by-election in the Khair assembly constituency in Aligarh.

Khair Traffic Diversions For Bypoll

The police and administration have made a plan for several route diversions to keep traffic smooth and to spare citizens from inconvenience on bypoll day. The concerned officials have issued necessary guidelines. These diversions will mainly apply to heavy vehicles so that the common people do not face any troubles in the Khair Assembly area.

Heavy/commercial vehicles going from Delhi-Bulandshahr Road towards Khair will not be allowed. They will have to take an alternative route via Gabhana, Somna, or Dauru. Heavy/commercial vehicles approaching Tappal via the the Yamuna Expressway-Palwal Road will have to use the Tappal Yamuna Expressway.

Heavy/comercial vehicles taking the Mathura Road via Wichpuri Tiraha/Beswa Iglas towards Khair are being diverted from Wichpuri Tiraha or Beswa Iglas to their destination.

Heavy/commercial vehicles coming from Agra Road via Sasni-Hathras towards Madrak/Khair will be banned on this route. These can be diverted from Sasni-Hathras/Madrak and vehicles can go to their destination. Heavy/commercial vehicles coming from Mathura Road via Mod Kasba Iglas towards Khair will be banned on this route. These can be diverted from Mod Kasba Iglas to their destination.

Heavy/commercial vehicles going towards Khair from Dhatauli Chowk Kasba Gaunda on Iglas-Gaunda-Khair Road are being diverted from Dhatauli Chowk Kasba Gaunda.

The police have requested all heavy vehicle drivers and owners to follow the diversion rules and use the alternative routes.
