Rajasthan Polls: PM Modi Urges Voters To Create Turnout Record, Gehlot Sure Of Bucking Revolving Door Trend
Rajasthan Polls: PM Narendra Modi has asked the voters to exercise their franchise in large numbers, whereas CM Ashok Gehlot urged people to vote for Congress to break the revolving door trend.
Rajasthan Assembly Elections: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday asked the voters to create a turnout record by exercising their franchise as Rajasthan votes today. He wished the young voters who will be voting for the first time to encourage them to participate in the festival of democracy. Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot also appealed to voters to vote in large numbers and asked them to push the button of hand symbol to back Congress and break the revolving door trend.
"Voting will be held today for Rajasthan Assembly elections. I request all the voters to create a new record of voting by exercising their franchise in maximum numbers. On this occasion, my best wishes to all the young friends of the state who are going to vote for the first time," PM Modi said in a post on X, formerly Twitter.
राजस्थान विधानसभा चुनाव के लिए आज वोट डाले जाएंगे। सभी मतदाताओं से मेरा निवेदन है कि वे अधिक से अधिक संख्या में अपने मताधिकार का प्रयोग कर वोटिंग का नया रिकॉर्ड बनाएं। इस अवसर पर पहली बार वोट देने जा रहे राज्य के सभी युवा साथियों को मेरी ढेरों शुभकामनाएं।

CM Gehlot said his party is contesting on local issues and governance. "We are contesting (Rajasthan Assembly) elections on local issues and good governance. Some good laws were also passed (in state Assembly). However, those who came from outside (BJP leaders), they only tried to instigate people. People (of Rajasthan) are aware about this," Gehlot told PTI.

Congress leader Sachin Pilot said, "It is a very important day. People of Rajasthan will vote today to select their new government. I am confident that the trend (in Rajasthan) will change this year as people want Congress to win."
Voting is underway on 199 seats of 200 constituencies in the state where Congress is aiming for another stint while BJP is eyeing to dethrone the Gehlot government from power.
