PM Modi Writes Personalised Letters To NDA Candidates Contesting First Phase Of Lok Sabha Polls
In his letters to the candidates contesting in the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections PM Modi emphasised the importance of conveying his unwavering dedication to the welfare of every citizen.
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday wrote personalised letters to all BJP-led National Democratic Alliance candidates contesting in the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections, asking them to convey his message to voters in their respective constituencies. "This election is an opportunity to connect the country's present with a bright future", Modi said in his message.
BJP sources shared two of the letters sent by Modi -one to Coimbatore candidate K Annamalai, who is also the president of the BJP's Tamil Nadu unit, in English, and another in Hindi to its chief spokesperson Anil Baluni who is contesting from Uttarakhand's Pauri Garhwal, reported news agency PTI.
Sources indicated a concerted effort to disseminate the Prime Minister's message in regional languages. Expressing confidence in K Annamalai's electoral prospects, PM Modi said, "he will tell people of his constituency that this is not an ordinary election".
"In the last 10 years, the quality of life of every section of society has improved, with many of these troubles removed. Yet, a lot more is still to be done and this election will be decisive in our mission to ensure a better life for everyone", he said in a message which was also the theme of the communication to other NDA candidates too.
PM Modi said further added, "Families across India, especially the senior members, would remember the difficulties they had gone through in the five-six decades of the Congress' rule".
PM Modi underscored the significance of the ongoing election as a pivotal moment to align the nation's present with a promising future. Stressing the transformative potential of every BJP vote, PM Modi articulated its role in shaping a stable government and propelling India's journey towards becoming a developed nation by 2047.
Encouraging BJP workers to maximize their efforts in the final hours of the campaign, PM Modi acknowledged the challenges posed by summer heat while urging voters to prioritise early morning voting to ensure their participation in shaping the nation's destiny.
In his letters to the candidates, Prime Minister stressed on the importance of conveying his unwavering dedication to the welfare of every citizen. Addressing K Annamalai, a former IPS officer who transitioned into politics, PM Modi commended his decision to leave a notable career to serve the people directly, highlighting his instrumental role in bolstering the BJP's grassroots presence in Tamil Nadu.
Expressing confidence in Annamalai's leadership, Modi emphasised the potential for Coimbatore to benefit significantly from his committed service. Similarly, PM Modi lauded Anil Baluni's diligent efforts as a BJP leader, noting his steadfast advocacy for Uttarakhand's development during his tenure as a Rajya Sabha member.
