PM Modi Takes Jibe At I.N.D.I.A Bloc During Saharanpur Rally, Says 'Those Who Challenged Shakti...'

PM Modi on Saturday addressed an election rally in Uttar Pradesh's Saharanpur where he stated that the I.N.D.I.A bloc has been openly saying that it is fighting against 'shakti.'

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday addressed an election rally in Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh. Hitting out at the I.N.D.I.A Bloc over the 'Shakti' remarks, PM Modi during the rally stated: "This is the place of Maa Shakti. We are a country that never ignores worshipping Shakti. But it is the misfortune of the country that the people of INDI Alliance are challenging that their fight is against Shakti. What happened to all those who tried to destroy Shakti are recorded in history and Puranas."

Later the PM will also take part in a roadshow in Ghaziabad, in a show of support for the candidates of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was also present at the rally. "We are seeing a new Bharat. Our generation is fortunate that we are seeing the new Bharat," the CM stated.

The Prime Minister addressed the rally at old Radha Swami Satsang Bhawan near the Rainbow Public School, Delhi Road. The address is aimed at showcasing the PM's support to BJP candidate from Saharanpur Raghav Lakhanpal and Kairana candidate Pradeep Choudhary, PTI reported citing state general secretary and Member of the Legislative Council Govind Narayan Shukla.

Claiming that there is a wave in favour of the saffron party and the NDA coalition parties among the people in Uttar Pradesh, Shukla stated: "The public has made up its mind to make Modi ji the prime minister for the third time with a historic mandate," the report noted.

In the evening, PM Modi will participate in a road show in Ghaziabad which has been organised from the Maliwada Chowk via Ambedkar Road to Chaudhary Road in support of BJP candidate Atul Garg.

Meanwhile, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and former president Sonia Gandhi along with other leaders of the party will hold a rally in Jaipur on April 6, to launch the party's election manifesto publicly.

BJP Foundation Day

BJP is all set to celebrate its 44th Foundation Day today to mark the day when the largest political party was established. The theme of BJP's Foundation Day this year is "Phir Ek Baar Modi Sarkar." On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be addressing the BJP leaders and workers.  Every year, the Foundation Day celebrations include various events,  discussions, and speeches, on the party's journey, achievements, and future goals.

Over the years, BJP Foundation Day has turned out to become a day for BJP leaders to not only celebrate the party's establishment but to come together and reflect on the party's ideology, principles, and contributions.

The saffron party was founded on April 6, 1980, by Shayama Prasad Mookerjee, who was a leader of the pro-Hindu group Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. In 1951, Bharatiya Jana Sangha was established as the political wing of RSS, with Mookerjee being appointed as the group's first president.

Initially, the organisation opposed India's division into two states, but gradually became a platform to promote the preservation of Indian culture and identity and Hindu nationalism.

One of the most prominent leaders of the BJS was Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who joined three other political parties and also established the Janata Party in 1979. Vajpayee led the BJS until the 1980s after which it was reorganised as the BJP on April 6, 1980, after the government collapsed. The saffron party was then led by Lal Krishan Advani and Murali Manohar Joshi.
