Mustafabad Assembly Election Result: BJP's Mohan Singh Bisht Wins Four-Cornered Contest
Previously, the seat primarily saw a three-way fight among AAP, BJP, and Congress. This time, AAP has nominated Adil Ahmad Khan, while the Congress has nominated Ali Mehdi.

Mustafabad Results Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party's Mohan Singh Bisht, a five-time MLA from Karawal Nagar, won the Mustafabad seat in the national capital on Saturday. The constituency witnessed a four-cornered contest, with the All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) also entering the fray. The party fielded Tahir Hussain, an accused in the Delhi riots case from this seat.
Previously, the seat primarily saw a three-way fight among AAP, BJP, and Congress. This time, AAP has nominated Adil Ahmad Khan, while the Congress has nominated Ali Mehdi.
Bisht won the high-stakes Muslim-majority seat with 85,215 votes defeating Khan with a margin of 17,578 votes while Hussain finished third with 33,474 votes.

A total of 13 candidates were in the fray from this seat includin candidates from Congress, Bahujan Samaj Party, Bharatiya Sarvodaya Kranti Party, Bharatiya Sampuran Krantikari Party, Peace Party, Peoples Party of India (Democratic), Rashtriya Janmorcha, Rashtriya Republican Party, and one Independent.
In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, BJP’s Manoj Tiwari secured a victory from North East Delhi—of which Mustafabad is a part—defeating Congress’ Kanhaiya Kumar by over one lakh votes.
In the last Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) elections held in 2022, the Congress candidate won this ward despite the presence of the sitting AAP MLA.
Bisht, a veteran in Delhi politics, was first elected as MLA in 1998 from Karawal Nagar seat which he retained till 2015.
In 2015, he fought the seat on an AAP ticket and lost to BJP's Kapil Mishra. Five years later, he reclaimed the seat as a BJP candidate defeating AAP's Durgesh Pathak.
The Bharatiya Janata Party has unseated the Aam Aadmi Party from its 12-year rule in the national capital crossing the halfway mark. While the BJP is yet to disclose its cards on who will be the next chief minister, Parvesh Verma is among the top contenders for the post.
