Modi's 12-State Poll Blitzkrieg Begins: PM To Launch Slew Of Projects In Telangana, Tamil Nadu Today
PM Modi will visit Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, West Bengal, Bihar, Jammu and Kashmir, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Delhi.
Ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Tamil Nadu and Telangana on Monday where he will inaugurate and lay groundwork for various development projects.
PM Modi In Telangana's Adilabad
At a public event in Adilabad, Telangana on Monday, the Prime Minister will inaugurate, and lay the groundwork for several developmental projects in the electricity, rail, and road sectors totaling more than Rs 56,000 crore. The initiatives will mostly focus on the power sector.
The Prime Minister will dedicate NTPC's 800 MW Telangana Super Thermal Power Project (Unit-2) in Peddapalli, Telangana. Based on Ultra-Supercritical Technology, the project will supply 85% of Telangana's power and have the greatest power generation efficiency of over 42% among all NTPC power plants in India. The Prime Minister also lay the foundation stone for the project.
PM Modi In Tamil Nadu's Kalpakkam
On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will witness the start of core loading for India's indigenous 500 Mwe Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor (PFBR) at the Kalpakkam nuclear plant, some 70 kilometers south of Chennai.
The start of core loading for PFBR, constructed by BHAVINI (Bharatiya Nabhikiya Vidyut Nigam Limited), will be a "historic milestone in India's nuclear power programme," according to a Press Information Bureau announcement.
The reactor core is made up of control sub-assemblies, blanket sub-assemblies, and fuel sub-assemblies, and the core loading activity would entail loading the reactor control sub-assemblies, blanket sub-assemblies, and fuel sub-assemblies that would create electricity, according to the statement.

Over the next ten days, PM Modi is slated to visit 12 states and union territories. Officials have said that he will visit: Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, West Bengal, Bihar, Jammu and Kashmir, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Delhi.
Here's PM Modi's Schedule
March 4: PM Modi will visit Telangana on Monday to launch and lay the groundwork for several development projects worth more than Rs 56,000 crore at a public event in Adilabad. On the same day, the Prime Minister would go to BHAVINI in Kalpakkam, Tamil Nadu. According to the Prime Minister's office, the initiatives would mostly focus on the electricity industry.
March 5: Modi will attend multiple events and launch various projects in Telangana's Sangareddy, followed by a public address. He will next go to Odisha to launch, dedicate, and lay the groundwork for several development projects in Chandikhole, Jajpur, after delivering a public address. Later in the day, he would go for West Bengal.
March 6: On Wednesday, Modi will visit Mamata Banerjee's home turf to inaugurate, dedicate, and lay the groundwork for multiple development projects worth Rs. 15,400 crore, including the Kolkata Metro's Howrah Maidan- Esplanade Metro section in Kolkata, as well as address a public meeting in Barasat. Later, he will travel to Bihar to attend numerous inauguration ceremonies totaling over Rs. 12,800 crore at Bettiah.
March 7: Modi will go to Jammu and Kashmir, a former state that is now a union territory, to address a public gathering at Srinagar's Bakshi Stadium. It will be PM Modi's first visit to the Kashmir valley after the repeal of Article 370 in August 2019. He did, however, visit Jammu last month to inaugurate a number of development projects.
March 8: He will attend the first National Creators Award in Delhi before departing for Assam in the evening where he will attend several development programs.
March 9: On Saturday, PM Modi will visit the north-eastern state of Arunachal Pradesh to inaugurate the Sela Tunnel in West Kameng, followed by various launch events in the capital, Itanagar. Later, he will go to Assam to inaugurate the monument of Lachit Barphukan in Jorhat before laying the groundwork for a number of development initiatives. Later in the day, PM Modi will go to West Bengal to launch, dedicate, and lay the groundwork for many development projects in Siliguri, followed by a public address.
March 10: On Sunday, PM Modi will go to Uttar Pradesh to address numerous events in Azamgarh, the Samajwadi Party's stronghold. Ahead of the Prime Minister's visit, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid a visit to the city on Sunday to assess preparations for a probable public gathering at Manduri Airport.
March 11: PM Modi will visit the national capital to attend the 'Namo Drone Didi' and 'Lakhpati Didi' events. Later, he will open the Haryana segment of the Dwarka Expressway, and in the evening, the prime minister will attend a DRDO function.
March 12: PM Modi will visit Gujarat's Sabarmati and then go to Rajasthan, where he will visit Pokhran in Jaisalmer area.
March 13: In the final leg of his tour, PM Modi will lay the groundwork for three semiconductor projects in Gujarat and Assam by video conferencing, followed by an outreach program for underprivileged members of society.
