Congress Releases List Of 6 Candidates For LS Elections, Names 12 Contestants For Andhra Assembly Polls
The Congress fielded Pulusu Satyanarayana Reddy from Vishakapatnam, Vegi Venkatesh from Anakapalle, Lavanya Kavuri from Eluru and Garnepudi Alexander Sudhakar from Narasaraopet.
Congress on Tuesday released a list of six candidates for Lok Sabha elections and 12 candidates for Andhra assembly polls.
The Congress fielded Pulusu Satyanarayana Reddy from Vishakapatnam, Vegi Venkatesh from Anakapalle, Lavanya Kavuri from Eluru, Garnepudi Alexander Sudhakar from Narasaraopet, Koppula Raju from Nellore and Chinta Mohan from Tirupati.

The party also announced 12 Assembly seats for the assembly polls in Andhra Pradesh. Out of the 12 candidates, two turncoats-- K Kruparani and M S Babu-- also found their place in the list.

Former union minister Killi Krupa Rani , who recently jumped ship from YSRCP to Congress will contest from Tekkali constituency and Babu from Puthalapattu (SC).
The grand old party has also pitched Killi Krupa Rani from Tekkali, Addala Venkata Varma Raju from Bheemili, Vasupalli Santhosh from Visakhapatnam South, Lakkaraju Rama Rao from Gajuwaka and Setti Gangadhara Swamy and Araku Valley.
On April 2, Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Y S Sharmila had announced the names of candidates for five Lok Sabha and 114 Assembly seats.
Reddy will also contest the upcoming Lok Sabha election from the Kadapa seat which had been won by her father Y S Rajasekhara Reddy four times in the undivided Andhra Pradesh.
With today’s announcement, Congress announced the names of candidates for 126 Assembly and 11 Lok Sabha candidates in the state.
Congress has also struck a seat-sharing deal with the CPI, which will contest in one Lok Sabha and eight Assembly seats.
Elections for the 175-member Assembly and 25 Lok Sabha seats in Andhra Pradesh are scheduled to be held on May 13 and the counting of votes will take place on June 4. The I.N.D.I.A alliance, led by the Congress, will be contesting against the BJP-TDP-JSP alliance in the state.
