Tejashwi Slams Modi Remark That I.N.D.I.A Leaders Are Anti-Sanatan: 'Do People Of BJP Consider Themselves God?'

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a poll rally in Bihar's Nawada earlier in the day.

Former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav hit back at the Bharatiya Janata Party over Prime Minister Narendra Modi's remark that leaders of the I.N.D.I.A bloc are "anti-Sanatan". Responding to the remark, Tejashwi said the people of the BJP should not compare themselves with God.

"...What is the proof. Am I not a Hindu? There is a temple in my house. Are people of the BJP considering themselves as God? People of BJP should not compare themselves with God. God is watching everything and everyone has to go there...," said the RJD leader.

Modi held a rally in Bihar's Nawada earlier in the day where Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar targeted Lalu Prasad Yadav for his tenure as the CM saying one could not step out of the house late in the evening in 2005 when Lalu was the CM.

"Husband and wife (Lalu Yadav and Rabri Devi) ruled for 15 years but no work was done," Nitish said.

Slamming the Bihar CM, Tejashwi said, "Is there anything new in what the Chief Minister said? When he was with us, he had said many things about BJP. He said he would die but would not go with the BJP..."

"The Prime Minister and the people of BJP are scared, if they have already won the elections then why are they campaigning and roaming in Bihar... Today I have tweeted on corruption, I hope the Prime Minister will at least express his views on corruption...," he added.
