Lok Sabha 2024: BJP To Begin Month-Long Mass Outreach Campaign Today
The BJP's Maha Jansampark Abhiyan would commence on Wednesday and end on June 30.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to launch its extensive Maha Jansampark Abhiyan, a month-long campaign, commencing on Wednesday. A party official revealed that the campaign aims to engage with 1,000 distinguished individuals from every Lok Sabha constituency.
Vinod Tawde, the BJP's national general secretary, addressed the media on Tuesday, highlighting that the initiative would span from May 31 to June 30. He further explained that a comprehensive list of 1,000 notable personalities from each Lok Sabha seat, all of whom have been honored with civilian awards such as the Padma awards or president's medals during their service, has been prepared. Considering the 543 seats in Lok Sabha, this equates to an estimated 550,000 individuals who will be visited by prominent BJP leaders, including union ministers and senior party members, as part of the outreach campaign.
Tawde emphasized that the purpose of these visits is to showcase the accomplishments of the Narendra Modi-led government over the past nine years. Additionally, the BJP representatives will update the constituents on the various development projects either undertaken or completed within their respective Lok Sabha constituencies. Furthermore, public gatherings may be organized near completed infrastructure projects, such as highways and railway stations, to further engage the public.
The BJP has compiled a roster of beneficiaries from ten key Union government schemes and intends to arrange gatherings specifically for them. The party aims to reach out to approximately 800 million people across the country within the span of one month. To achieve this, a total of 227 leaders, including union ministers, party officials, and state-level leaders, will actively participate in the campaign.
Moreover, all elected representatives have been instructed to allocate the final ten days of June to their respective constituencies, facilitating door-to-door interactions with citizens. To invigorate the campaign, at least 12 rallies featuring Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be organized across three to four constituencies. Notable figures like J P Nadda, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari, and Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani, among others, will also lead similar rallies.
