For Final Push To Karnataka Campaign, BJP Plans Day-Long Roadshow For PM Modi In Greater Bengaluru On May 6

In the run up to the Assembly elections in Karnataka, BJP is planning to organise a mega day-long roadshow of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the state’s capital Bengaluru on May 6.

In a final push to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) campaign in Karnataka, the saffron party is planning to organise a mega day-long roadshow of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the state’s capital Bengaluru on May 6. PM Modi's roadshow will be spread over a 40-45 km stretch and will cover over 80% of the greater Bengaluru area, sources in the BJP told ABP Live.

An 8-kilometre roadshow will be organised in Bengaluru Central Lok Sabha constituency in the morning, sources said. While another 30 km road show from Konanakunte under Bengaluru Rural PC to Malleswaram of Bengaluru South PC will be organised in the evening.

PM Modi's Karnataka Campaign

PM Modi on Tuesday slammed the Congress over the poll promise made by the party in its manifesto of banning Bajrang Dal and said that the Congress party has decided to lock Bajrangbali in its manifesto. He also said that earlier Shri Ram was locked up and now they have taken the decision to lock up those who chant Jai Bajrangbali.

Addressing a public meeting in Hospet in the poll-bound state of Karnataka, PM Modi said, "Today it is my great fortune to bow down to this holy land of Hanuman ji and see the misfortune, today when I have come here, at the same time the Congress party has decided to lock Bajrangbali in its manifesto. Earlier Shri Ram was locked up and now they have taken the decision to lock up those who chant Jai Bajrangbali," as quoted by the news agency ANI.

During his address, PM Modi said that the Double-Engine Govt in Karnataka has worked in an unprecedented manner in the direction of ensuring social justice and social empowerment. Hailing the BJP government in the poll-bound state, PM Modi said that the welfare of the poor has been the top priority for the government.

PM Modi also addressed a public meeting at Chitradurga in the poll-bound state on Tuesday. Speaking at the public meeting PM Modi slammed the Congress and JD(S) and said that the people of Karnataka must be wary of both JD(S) and Congress. He also said that both are corrupt and they promote dynastic politics and sow divisions in society.

"I want to alert you. People of Karnataka must be wary of both JD(S) and Congress. They aren’t different. They are the same. Both are corrupt, promote dynastic politics and sow divisions in society," PM Modi said during a public meeting.

The 224-member Karnataka Assembly will undergo polls on May 10 and the votes will be counted on May 13. A total of 3,632 candidates are in the fray with 707 from incumbent BJP and 651 from Congress while 1,720 candidates will contest as Independent.

According to the ABP-CVoter Opinion Poll, Congress seems ahead in the race to form the next government in Karnataka with a projected seat range between 107 to 119 while BJP is expected to get seats somewhere between 74 and 86 and JDS between 23 and 35 seats. At around 40 per cent, Congress is expected to bag the most vote percentage with BJP following at 40 per cent and JD(S) at 17 per cent, and others at 8 per cent.
