JDU may not release manifesto to avoid differences with BJP on Ram Mandir, Article 370: sources

The reason behind not releasing manifesto could be that the party is apprehensive of setting off internal rivalries with alliance partner BJP during elections.

While almost all the key parties have released their electoral manifestos, JDU has put it on hold so far even when three phases of polling has concluded and the fourth phase polling is scheduled for tomorrow (Monday).
As per sources, there are chances that the party may not release its manifesto after all.
BJP and JDU have conflicts on Ram Mandir issue and scrapping Article 370.
New Delhi: Not willing to trigger differences with ally BJP, Nitish Kumar's JDU in Bihar has decided to drop off its manifesto release for this Lok Sabha elections, sources informed. While almost all the key parties have released their electoral manifestos,  JDU  has not yet released its election manifesto even when three phases of polling has concluded and the fourth phase polling is scheduled for tomorrow (Monday). As per sources, there are chances that the party may not release its manifesto after all. The reason behind not releasing manifesto could be that the party is apprehensive of setting off internal rivalries with alliance partner BJP during the elections. BJP and JDU have conflicts on Ram Mandir issue and scrapping Article 370. If the manifesto is released, the difference between the allies will be buoyed back to surface again. This could be one of the major reasons why JDU is avoiding a manifesto even three phases down the election season. RJD spokesperson Mrityunjai Tiwari said while speaking to ABP News: “JDU is not coming up with a manifesto because the party can switch sides after the polls, therefore BJP should get a stamp paper signed by the JDU beforehand.” JDU spokesperson Rajiv Ranjan said that the party doesn’t feel the need of releasing a manifesto as the people already are aware of the party’s work. “The party has done so much of work till now that people do not require a manifesto from us,” he said. Even as political opponents targeted JDu for not releasing a manifesto, its ally BJP said that there is no conflict between the two parties and both will fight together to make Narendra Modi the PM again.
