UPSC CDS 2024 Registration Ends Today, Here's How To Apply

UPSC CDS 2024 Registrations: Interested candidates can apply online at upsc.gov.in.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will close the registration window for Combined Defence Services (CDS 1) today, January 9. UPSC CDS 2024 Notification and application form was released on December 20. Candidates can register for the UPSC CDS 1 exam 2024 by 6 pm today on the official website of UPSC at upsc.gov.in. The UPSC conducts the CDS and NDA exams biannually. The UPSC CDS 1 exam for 2024 is scheduled to take place on April 21 at numerous examination centers nationwide. Following this, the CDS II is scheduled for September 1, 2024, with the notification set to be released on May 15.

UPSC CDS 1 Exam 2024: Eligibility

For the UPSC CDS 1 Exam 2024, candidates must meet certain eligibility criteria:

  1. Graduation from a recognized university is mandatory for all applicants.
  2. Joining the Navy requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Meanwhile, admission to the Air Force Academy necessitates passing Physics and Chemistry in Class 12, along with a bachelor's degree.
  3. Applicants aiming for the Air Force and Navy through the CDS exam should be between 19 and 23 years old. For the Officers Training Academy, the age limit is between 19 and 24 years.

UPSC CDS 2024 Pattern

The UPSC CDS 2024 examination pattern varies based on the academy candidates are applying for:

For IMA, INA, and AFA:

  • English: 2 hours duration, 100 maximum marks
  • General Knowledge: 2 hours duration, 100 maximum marks
  • Elementary Mathematics: 2 hours duration, 100 maximum marks

For OTA:

  • English: 2 hours duration, 100 maximum marks
  • General Knowledge: 2 hours duration, 100 maximum marks
