SRCC To Host Shri Ram Economics Summit 2025 With CEA Nageswaran, Navy Chief Tripathi Among Speakers

Shri Ram College of Commerce is hosting the 14th edition of its undergraduate economics summit. The summit will showcase emerging ideas with experts like Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh Tripathi and CEA Nageswaran.

Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), Delhi University, is set to host the 14th edition of its flagship undergraduate economics summit — Shri Ram Economics Summit 2025 — on April 7 and 8. Organised by the Economics Society of SRCC, the event promises a two-day deep dive into emerging economic ideas and dialogue, backed by prominent industry names and distinguished speakers from diverse fields.

The summit is being held in collaboration with key industry partners including ACCA, Google, Microsoft, Infosys, PwC, Deloitte, Accenture, NSE, Tata Capital, and Yes Securities (India) Limited (YSIL), among others. It will feature a range of on-campus activities such as lectures, fireside chats, panel discussions, and live interviews aimed at promoting dialogue among students, professionals, and policy enthusiasts.

According to a release, the summit aims to serve as a “crucible of intellectual discourse and collaborative exploration in economics,” offering attendees an opportunity to engage with ideas and innovations shaping the contemporary economic landscape.

Four national-level competitions have also been planned as part of the summit, testing participants in data analysis, business simulation, policymaking, and consulting. These contests are expected to attract fierce competition and wide participation from undergraduate students across the country.

The list of confirmed speakers includes several eminent personalities: Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi PVSM, AVSM, NM (Chief of Naval Staff, Indian Navy); V. Anantha Nageswaran (Chief Economic Advisor of India); A. Robert Jerard Ravi (Chairman and Managing Director, BSNL); and Aurelien Kruse (Lead Economist, World Bank).

Reflecting on the upcoming summit, Md. Sajid Khan, Director at ACCA India, said, “At ACCA, with the Think Ahead approach, we believe in the power of preparation and determination. The Shri Ram Economics Summit has previously hosted distinguished figures such as Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, the late Arun Jaitley, the late Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, Ajay Banga, and Arvind Panagariya. 

As Asia’s largest undergraduate economics festival, the event last year witnessed over 10,000 participants and garnered support from organisations like The World Bank, Samsung, TATA, Celonis, Dalberg, Kepler Cannon, Paytm, and Hindustan Petroleum, the release stated.
