SPJIMR Invites Applications For PGPDM Programme; Eligibility And Other Details

SPJIMR PGPDM Programme Admission 2024: The programme is scheduled to commence on August 2, 2024.

Mumbai: Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s S.P. Jain Institute of Management & Research (SPJIMR) is now accepting applications for its Post Graduate Programme in Development Management (PGPDM) for the Class of 2025 (PGPDM Batch 24). This unique Development Management Programme is the only one in India with international accreditation from AMBA and AACSB. The deadline for applications is June 30, 2024. The programme is scheduled to commence on August 2, 2024. Scholarships are available for low-income deserving candidates.

The PGPDM is a 12-month modular programme, tailored for professionals engaged in or aspiring to work within the social sector. This includes individuals from non-governmental organisations (NGOs), foundations, corporate social responsibility (CSR) functions, social policy or welfare departments of governments, and social enterprises focused on Development Management. It equips participants with the essential knowledge, skills and perspectives needed to advance their initiatives in the pursuit of social justice. The programme is modular and enables participants to continue working at their current organisations.

The programme consists of about 30 courses, delivered over six contact periods of two weeks each. The first, third, and last contacts are held on SPJIMR Mumbai campus, while the remaining three contacts are delivered online.

The programme was launched in 2011 as Indian businesses sought to fulfil their CSR objectives and NGOs aimed to enhance the effectiveness of their interventions to successfully secure grants and CSR funds. After 12 years of learning and observing the recent impact of COVID-19 on society, the programme has been redesigned to place a greater emphasis on wise innovation and change management for long-term development.

In a message to aspirants, Prof. Tanojkumar Meshram, Associate Professor, Public Policy, Department of General Management, and Chairperson, PGPDM, said, “PGPDM offers a life transforming experience to the students who come from diverse sections of the society and multiple geographies across the India with a common goal to work for a social change. Every course and the component of the programme is designed in such a way that it helps students to immediately apply the learnings in their practice world and transform themselves, their organisations and their communities.”

With 23 cohorts spanning over 12 years, PGPDM has impacted over 300 organisations across 23 states in India. PGPDM alumni hold positions as founders, heads, trustees, and directors of NGOs, as well as social entrepreneurs, CSR managers, programme officers, and consultants within social sector organisations.
