RRB Group D Result 2019: Indian Railways had released the much-awaited RRB Group D Result for Level 1 posts against CEN 02/2018, last week.

RRB Group D Result 2019: Indian Railways had released the much-awaited RRB Group D Result for Level 1 posts against CEN 02/2018, last week. However, soon after the declaration of results, morphed marksheets citing marks secured by the candidate more than the total marks, started doing rounds on various social media platforms, thereby questioning the marking methodology of the Ministry of Railways and shaking confidence of over 1,89,78,913 candidates who had applied for the RRB Group D Level 1 Computer Based Test, held from 17^th September 2018 to 17^th December 2018, last year, in 152 shifts in the length and breadth of the country.

Putting an end to all speculations, the Indian Railways has released a Press Note stating that the methodology used for awarding marks is nearly 19 year old, and has been followed since the year 2000.

Secondly, during the normalization process, the marks secured by a candidate may exceed total marks of the exam paper. And Thirdly, a candidate can score 126.13 marks at the highest. “The maximum normalized marks of any candidate in Level-1 (CEN-02/2018) Computer Based Test(CBT) is 126.13.  Any other marks higher than this, is pure concoction” clarified the Indian Railways. The Indian Railways also cleared its stance and maintained that the evaluation was done in a transparent manner given that the Question Papers, Answer Keys and Candidate Evaluation Sheets were made available to candidates who had appeared for the CBT. “Before publication of results, all candidates were made privy to the Question Papers, Master Answer Key and their own evaluated answer sheet.  The ‘Objection tracker’ was accessible to candidates from 14^th January 2019 to 20^th January 2019.  During this 1.58 lakh candidates submitted their objections which were considered and reviewed,” read the Notification by Indian Railways on Misinformation Being Spread About Level-1 Results of Railway Recruitment Board
