REET 2021 Exam: 5 Persons Including 3 REET Aspirants Arrested For Wearing Slippers With Bluetooth Devices

REET 2021 Exam: Five persons were arrested for allegedly cheating in the Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers (REET) 2021 in Bikaner. As per the PTI report, they were caught carrying Bluetooth devices fitted in their slippers. The REET 2021 examination was conducted on Sunday, September 25, 2021.

Earlier, the Rajasthan government had temporarily suspended the mobile internet services, bulk SMS/MMS and various other social media platforms in various districts including Ajmer, Alwar, Dausa, Jhunjhunu and Jaipur rural from 6 am to 6 pm. The decision was taken as a precautionary measure in view of the REET 2021 examination.

 

In order to facilitate cheating during the REET 2021 examination, the accused were hiding the Bluetooth devices in their slippers, the Bikaner Superintendent of Police Priti Chandra said. "They were caught at a bus stand under the Gangashahar police station area before the exam. During checking, the slippers and other devices were recovered. The main accused who is the gang leader is absconding while two members of the gang were arrested," Bikaner SP was quoted by PTI in its report.

The REET 2021 examination is being conducted to fill 31,000 vacancies of Grade-3 teachers. The admit card for the REET 2021 examination was released by the board on September 17, 2021. In view of the covid-19 pandemic, the board had to postpone the REET 2021 exam which was initially scheduled to be held on June 20, 2021.
