NEET UG Reduced Syllabus To Be Announced Soon, Registration From January 24

NTA will release the reduced syllabus for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Undergraduate.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to release reduced syllabus for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2024. The registration for NEET UG 2024 will start on January 24, allowing aspiring candidates for medical entrance exams to enroll through the official website at neet.nta.nic.in. The exam itself is slated for May 5 and will take place at multiple centers across the nation. NTA has crafted the updated syllabus based on inputs from the National Medical Commission (NMC) and in collaboration with various boards that adapted their senior secondary curriculum during the Covid era.

“NTA will notify NEET-UG syllabus next week so that it helps students in preparation. It will be a reduced syllabus. The students will be getting over six months to plan their studies for the entrance test,” NTA Director General Subodh Kumar Singh was quoted as saying to TOI.

NEET UG 2024 Registration: Steps To Register

Step 1: Go to the official NEET website: neet.nta.nic.in.

Step 2: Once on the homepage, locate and click on the NEET 2024 registration link.

Step 3: Agree to the Terms & Conditions presented in the undertaking by clicking "I agree" and proceed by clicking the submit button.

Step 4: Complete the application form by providing your personal details as required.

Step 5: Pay the necessary application fees and then submit your form.

Step 6: Finally, download a copy of your submitted form and take a printout for future reference and use.

NEET (UG), once known as the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT), serves as the national entrance test for undergraduate medical (MBBS), dental (BDS), and AYUSH (BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, etc.) courses in both government and private institutions across India.  The exam is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA), which provides the results to the Directorate General of Health Services under Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and State Counselling Authorities for seat allocation.
