Sanjeev Mukhiya, hailing from Shahpur Balwa village in Nalanda, operates strategically along the route from Hazaribagh to Nalanda.

The future of around 24 lakh students is at stake due to the NEET paper leak. A CBI team from Delhi arrived at the Economic Offences Unit (EOU) office of the Bihar Police in Patna on Monday morning to investigate allegations of irregularities in the NEET-UG medical entrance exam. Meanwhile, politics is at its peak under the guise of this issue. In the race to become the protector of children's interests, parties are targeting each other and raising serious allegations. On Monday, RJD leader Manoj Jha, in a press conference said, "If we talk about the Bihar connection, then a big name has come up in this case, Sanjeev Mukhiya."

Manoj Jha said that no rocket science is needed to know who is Sanjeev Mukhiya. He said that Mukhiya's wife had contested elections on a JDU ticket. Jha also said that he had a connection with a 'special district' of Bihar CM Nitish Kumar.

Who Is Sanjeev 'Mukhiya'?

In the case of the NEET-UG 2024 exam paper leak, Sanjeev Mukhiya is currently evading authorities, and the Economic Offences Unit of the Bihar Police is actively searching for him. He is alleged to be the mastermind behind the paper leak case. This isn't the first time his name has surfaced in such a case; previously, he has been implicated in several incidents involving the leak of competitive exam papers and has even served in Jail.

Sanjeev Mukhiya lives in Nagarsoana, Nalanda, Bihar. He currently works as a technical assistant at Nalanda College, Nurasarai branch. Previously, he was employed at Sabour Agricultural College but was transferred to Nurasarai as a disciplinary action after being implicated in the paper leak case.

He operates strategically along the route from Hazaribagh to Nalanda. In 2016, he was convicted in a previous paper leak case and arrested by the Uttarakhand Police.

Since the allegations arose in May regarding the NEET paper leak, Sanjeev Mukhiya has been missing. According to college administration reports, he disappeared without notice from the college premises on May 6. It has also been revealed that he had been absent from the college for months prior to this incident.

Sanjeev Mukhiya has denied all allegations against him, claiming he is being framed. His name has also been linked to a lodge in Patna, where allegations suggest that candidates were given question papers and answers in exchange for substantial sums of money. Currently, he is seeking anticipatory bail and has filed an application through his lawyer in the Patna Sessions Court.
