NEET PG 2024 SC Hearing: Supreme Court To Hear Result Transparency Plea After Dussehra
NEET PG Supreme Court Hearing: The Supreme Court has deferred the NEET PG 2024 hearing as Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud is unavailable.
NEET PG 2024 Hearing: The Supreme Court has not listed the NEET PG 2024 case hearing for today, October 4. The hearing was initially rescheduled because no representative from the Union of India attended the previous session. Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud, who is hearing the NEET PG 2024 case, is unavailable today. Due to this, none of the cases from his bench, including the NEET PG 2024 plea, are listed for hearing. The hearing is now expected to resume after Dussehra.
The plea, filed by NEET PG aspirants, raises concerns about last-minute changes to the exam pattern and a lack of transparency in the results process. Aspirants have expressed frustration over the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) introducing sudden changes just three days before the exam, as well as concerns about the unclear marking process, among other issues.
Aspirants' plea calls for increased transparency in the result declaration process, including the release of answer keys and a detailed explanation of the evaluation methodology used to determine final scores.
The NEET PG 2024 exam was conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) on August 11, with results announced on August 23. A group of 19 students filed a petition with the Supreme Court, citing concerns over a lack of transparency and arbitrary last-minute changes in the exam's conduct.
