Madhya Pradesh: In View Of Board Exams, Regular Classes For Std 10 & 12 Students To Resume From Dec 18

Minister of State for School Education Inder Singh Parmar said that all schools for students appearing for classes 10 and 12 will operate regularly for the entire scheduled time from December 18.
Although regular classes were not being held in the state because of the Coronavirus spread, this decision has been taken due to the upcoming Board examinations.
"The decision of reopening of schools for class 10 and 12 has been taken to help the students in the preparation for the board exams. The department has asked school administrations to follow the Covid-19 guidelines, including proper sanitization, use of masks, and maintaining social distancing," said state school education minister Inder Singh Parmar.
The school principals can take a decision to conduct regular classes for classes 9 and 11 based on the number of students and the teaching rooms available.

According to Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's orders, the schools which perform well will be honoured with certificates. On the basis of the schools' performances, the necessary arrangements are being made for certifying schools in gold, silver, and bronze category.
Certificates will also be given to teachers who teach well every week as per Under 'Our Home, Our School' program.
In other initiatives, a 'Mega Parent Teachers Meet' will be organised at the state level for direct interaction with parents along with alumni of the schools. A draft is going to be prepared for the transfer and rationalisation policy of teachers based on their teaching performance.
The Education Minister has also directed distribution of textbooks or workbooks to children of migrant workers on the government's education portal and on the basis of a survey conducted at the district level along with education and living arrangements for children of migrant workers in collaboration with social organisations and the district administration.
