The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to activate the download link soon on the official website — https://jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates must ensure their admit cards contain a valid QR code and barcode before printing them.

Other states with top scorers include Delhi (2), Uttar Pradesh (2), and one each from Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Telangana, and Maharashtra. Notably, only one of the 14 toppers was a girl.

City Intimation Slips vs Admit Cards: What’s The Difference?

Candidates should note that city intimation slips and admit cards are not the same. The city slip helps candidates determine their exam city, whereas the admit card serves as the official entry pass to the examination hall. Without a printed admit card, candidates will not be allowed to take the exam.

Will CBSE Board Exams Clash With JEE Main 2025?

Yes, JEE Main 2025 Session 2 coincides with certain CBSE Class-12 board exams. While core science subjects remain unaffected, some papers — including language papers, Home Science, and Psychology — are scheduled on overlapping dates:

April 2: Language exams (Punjabi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati, Malayalam, Odia, Assamese, Kannada, and others)

April 3 & 4: Home Science and Psychology (10:30 AM - 1:30 PM)

NIT Admission: What Is The Cut-Off?

Admission to National Institutes of Technology (NITs) varies based on multiple factors, including:
The specific NIT and engineering branch
The candidate’s category (General, OBC, SC/ST, EWS, etc.)

Candidates should check the previous years’ cutoffs for a better idea of the required scores.

Major Change: Optional Section Removed

A significant update for JEE Main 2025 is the removal of the optional part in Section B. Previously, candidates could choose any 5 out of 10 numerical questions. However, NTA has now discontinued this flexibility across Paper 1 (BTech/BE), Paper 2A (BArch), Paper 2B (BPlanning), as per the Indian Express.

This optional section was introduced as a temporary relief during the COVID-19 pandemic but will no longer be applicable in 2025.
