The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an advisory regarding Aadhaar authentication for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 registration. The NTA has received reports of candidates facing technical issues during the registration process due to discrepancies between the names on their Aadhaar cards and their class 10th education certificates. In response, the NTA has introduced minor modifications to the online application system and outlined steps to help candidates resolve these issues. The registration period for JEE Main 2025 opened on October 28, 2024, and will close at 9 PM on November 22, 2024.

JEE Mains 2025 Registration: How To Resolve Aadhaar Authentication Issues?

To address Aadhaar authentication issues, the NTA has updated the JEE Mains 2025 online application process. Candidates who encounter a pop-up message about a name mismatch during Aadhaar verification are advised to dismiss the pop-up.

The message states: "Name mismatch during Aadhaar Authentication. To update your Name on your Aadhaar Card, please visit your nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra. To proceed with Aadhaar Authentication, please enter your name as given in Aadhaar."

Once the pop-up is closed, a new window will prompt candidates to proceed with Aadhaar authentication. In this window, they should enter their name exactly as it appears on their Aadhaar card. Both names from the educational certificate and Aadhaar card will be recorded, enabling candidates to continue with the JEE Mains 2025 application process.

• Visit the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in.
• On the homepage, click on 'Online Application Form for JEE (Main) – 2025 Session-1'.
• Now click on 'Link to the Online Registration Form for the JEE (Main) – 2025 Session-1'.
• Click on 'New Registration'.
• Enter the required details in the application form.
• Upload the documents and pay the application fee.
• Submit the form and download the confirmation page.
