IIT Madras To Organise JAM 2024; Application Window To Open In First Week Of Sep

The Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2024 will be organised by IIT Madras this year.

The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) will organise the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2024. Aspiring candidates can submit their applications online at jam.iitm.ac.in. JAM 2024 is slated to be a Computer-Based Test covering seven distinct test papers: Biotechnology (BT), Chemistry (CY), Economics (EN), Geology (GG), Mathematics (MA), Mathematical Statistics (MS), and Physics (PH). The examination will take place in more than 100 cities across the nation. Applicants who have completed their undergraduate degrees or are in their final year of undergraduate programs are eligible to apply for the JAM 2024 examination.

There is no age restriction. Foreign nationals with Indian degrees are eligible to apply, subject to the policy of the admitting Institute.

Candidates who secure a place in the merit list are eligible for admission to approximately 3000 seats in diverse postgraduate programs at IITs, as well as over 2000 seats at IISc, NITs, IIEST Shibpur, SLIET, and DIAT through CCMN. These admissions encompass a wide range of Masters programs, including M.Sc., M.Sc. (Tech), M.Sc.-M.Tech. Dual Degree, M.S. (Research), Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D., and M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree, offered across various esteemed institutes.

It's important to note that the JAM 2024 score remains valid for just one year. For seeking admission to Masters's programs during the academic year 2024-25, candidates are required to participate in the JAM 2024 examination.
