IIT JAM 2024: Registrations Begin September 5, Here’s How To Apply
The IIT Madras will conduct the JAM 2024 Exam on February 11, 2024.
The Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, will start the application process for JAM 2024 from September 5, 2023 onwards. Eligible and interested candidates will be able to submit their JAM 2024 registration cum application forms on the official website - jam.iitm.ac.in, from September 5 onwards. As per the official schedule, candidates will be able to apply for the JAM 2024 Examination till October 13, 2023. The admit cards for the exam are slated to be released on January 8 while the JAM 2024 Examination will be conducted on February 11, 2024.
Notably, the JAM is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the IITs (Indian Institute of Technologies) to shortlist suitable candidates for admissions into M.Sc., M.Sc. (Tech.), MS (Research), M.Sc. - M. Tech Dual Degree, Joint M.Sc. - Ph.D., and M.Sc. - Ph.D. Dual Degree offered by the IITs. Approximately 3,000 seats shall be on offer for admissions through the JAM 2024 exam.
The JAM 2024 Exam will be conducted for a total of seven papers where candidates will be able to opt for a maximum of two papers. The application fee for JAM 2024 for one paper is Rs 900 for Female, SC/ ST/ PwD candidates and Rs 1,900 for all other candidates. Similarly, the application fee for two papers for Female, SC/ ST/ PwD candidates is Rs 1,250, and Rs 2,500 for all other candidates.
Candidates who have completed their bachelor’s degree in a concerned subject from a recognised university or those who are currently in the final year of their undergraduate program are eligible to apply for the JAM 2024 Exam. Candidates who clear the JAM 2024 Exam though shall be further able to apply for admissions into their preferred course and institute. However, such candidates must ensure that they fulfil the eligibility criteria of their selected programme of study by the respective institute.
