IIT Kanpur Phase-I Placements: 579 Offers On Day 1, 13 Global Jobs, Top Recruiters Include Microsoft, Google

IIT Kanpur’s Phase-I placements saw 579 offers on Day 1, with 523 students placed, 199 PPOs accepted, and 13 global offers.

The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) began its Phase-I placement session on a high note, securing 579 offers by the end of Day 1. A total of 523 students received placements, including campus recruitment and Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs), underscoring the institute’s focus on cultivating industry-ready skills highly sought after by top companies worldwide. Notably, 199 students accepted PPOs from leading national and international firms, while 13 students received prestigious global job offers, reinforcing IIT Kanpur’s reputation on the international stage.

Day 1 saw active participation from 74 prominent organizations. Leading recruiters such as Microsoft, Texas Instruments, Databricks, Google, American Express, SLB, and Deutsche Bank highlighted the exceptional talent nurtured at IIT Kanpur.

 

Prof. Manindra Agrawal, Director of IIT Kanpur, said, “The large number of offers from leading companies on Day 1, including a significant number of international placements, highlights the global recognition of IIT Kanpur's academic excellence and the calibre of our students. I would like to commend the efforts of the placement team for their dedication and meticulous planning. Notably, the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, established in 1959, holds the distinction of being recognized as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India through an Act of Parliament.  Renowned for its excellence in science and engineering education, IIT Kanpur has made significant contributions to research and development over the decades.
