IIT JAM 2024: Last Date To Register Today On jam.iitm.ac.in - Apply Now

Registered candidates will be able to download their JAM 2024 Admit Cards from January 8, 2024, onwards, while the JAM 2024 Exam will be held on February 11, 2024.

The Indian institute of Technology, Madras (IIT Madras) will close the online registration window for the IIT JAM 2024 Exam today, October 25, 2023. Interested and eligible students who wish to secure a postgraduate seat in the IITs, and are yet to apply for the JAM 2024, are advised to do the same at the earliest on the official website - jam.iitm.ac.in. While the JAM 2024 application deadline was supposed to end on October 13,a s per the earlier schedule, the deadline was later extended by the JAM 2024 organising institute, IIT Madras, till October 25. 

As per the official schedule, the JAM 2024 Exam will be held on February 11, 2024, in two shifts. The first shift will be held from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, while the second shift will be held from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Registered candidates will be able to download their JAM 2024 Admit Cards from January 8, 2024 onwards. 

Interested candidates may note that they can apply for a maximum of two papers while registering for the JAM (Joint Admission Test for Masters) 2024 Exam. For applying for the JAM 2024 Exam for one paper, female and SC/ ST/ PwD candidates will be required to pay a JAM 2024 Application Fee of Rs 900, while all other candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs 1,900. Similarly, the application fee for two papers for Female, SC/ ST/ PwD candidates is Rs 1,250, and Rs 2,500 for all other candidates.

Notably, the JAM 2024 is a national-level exam conducted by the IITs every year to shortlist suitable candidates for admissions into various postgraduate programmes like M.Sc., M.Sc. (Tech.), MS (Research), M.Sc. - M. Tech Dual Degree, Joint M.Sc. - Ph.D., and M.Sc. - Ph.D. Dual Degree offered by the IITs. Approximately 3,000 seats shall be on offer for admissions through the JAM 2024 exam. 

Those who have an undergraduate degree from a recognized university in the concerned subject they wish to seek postgraduate admission in, or those candidates who are currently in the final year of their degree programmes are eligible to apply for the IIT JAM 2024 Exam.   • On the homepage, click on the Registration button
  • Register online by furnishing your basic details
  • Login to the portal using your system-generated credentials 
  • Fill in the JAM 2024 Application Form
  • Upload the application form and upload relevant documents
  • Pay the application fee and submit the application
  • Download the application confirmation page for future reference
