UCEED, CEED 2024 Registrations Closing In A Week- All You Need To Know About The Upcoming IIT Design Entrance Exam

The IIT Bombay will conduct the UCEED, and CEED 2024 Exams on January 21, 2024.

The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay will close the registration window for the UCEED (Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design) and CEED (Common Entrance Exam for Design) Exams 2024, on October 31, 2023. Candidates who wish to take admission in various design programmes offered by the IITs, and are yet to register for the exam can do the same on the official websites - ceed.iitb.ac.in and uceed.iitb.ac.in. 

However, candidates may note that those who miss out on submitting their registration cum application forms for the IIT Design Entrance Exams would still be able to submit their applications with late fee. The last date to summit UCEED and CEED 2024 Applications with a late fee of Rs 500 is November 8, 2023. Admit Cards for both the exams are slated to be released on January 5, 2023. Registered candidates will be able to download their UCEED, CEED 2024 hall tickets from the official website, using their login credentials. 

Candidates may note that the CEED 2024 application fee for women/SC/CT/PwD candidates is Rs 1,900, and Rs 3,800 for all other candidates. As per the official schedule, the UCEED 2024 and CEED 2024 Exams will be conducted on January 21, 2024. While the UCEED Result 2024 is slated to be released on March 8, 2024, the CEED Result 2024 will be released on March 6, 2024. 

UCEED 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have completed their Class 12 in any stream in 2023, or those who will be appearing for their final examinations in 2024 are eligible to apply for the UCEED 2024 Exam. Moreover, UCEED 2024 Applicants  from the OPEN/EWS/OBC-NCL categories must not be born before October 1, 1999, while SC, ST, PwD category candidates should not be born before October 1, 1994 to apply for the exam. Candidates may note that they can only attempt the UCEED Exam twice, and that too in two consecutive years.

CEED 2024 Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the CEED 2024 Exam, candidates must have completed a degree/diploma/post graduate degree programme of minimum 3 years (after 10+2 level), or must be appearing for the final examination of such a program by July 2024, or must have passed the GD Arts diploma programme (10+5 level) by July 2024. There is no age limit to appear for the CEED Exam. 

Besides the CEED eligibility criteria though, institutes participating in the examination may have their own eligibility criteria for PG Design Admissions. Therefore, interested candidates are advised to check the detailed eligibility criteria of the specific institute they wish to seek admission in.
