Meanwhile, the overall pass percentage for this year is 99.98 percent for ICSE results and 99.76 percent for ISC results. In the class 12 results, girls outshone boys by a margin of 0.2 percent while class 10 girls and boys achieved the same pass percentage.

The board said that like last year, there will be no merit list this time too in view of the exceptional circumstances in which results have been prepared.

The results has been prepared on an alternate assessment policy decided by the board.

"In class 10, girls and boys have achieved a pass percentage of 99.98 percent. In class 12, the pass percentage of girls is 99.86 percent while that of boys is 99.66 percent," CISCE Chief Executive and Secretary Gerry Arathoon said.

Unlike previous years rechecking option for answer sheets will not be available this year as candidates have been awarded "imputed marks".

However, a dispute resolution mechanism will be in place for correction of calculation errors, if any, Arathoon said. PTI GJS GJS

The results are based on "the average marks of papers/subjects scored by candidates in various tests/exams conducted by the school at the classes 9 and 10 through the academic years 2019-20 and 2020-21 respectively (in percentage form i.e. out of 100). The internal assessment marks (the project work and practice for the ICSE year 2021 examination)," the official notification had stated.

"The average marks of papers/subjects scored by candidates in various tests/exams conducted by the school at the classes 11 and 12 through the academic years 2019-20 and 2020-21 respectively (in percentage form i.e. out of 100). The class 10 average marks (English + best four subjects) of only those candidates who had passed class 10 from examination boards other than the CISCE, since the class 10 average marks for candidates who had passed class 10 from CISCE are already available with the board," it added.
