Haryana Nuh Violence: All Schools, Colleges In Gurugram And Faridabad Closed Today

All educational institutions including schools, colleges and coaching centres in Gurugram and Faridabad districts will remain closed.

All educational institutions, including schools, colleges, and coaching centres in Faridabad district, will remain closed today, August 01, 2023. Similarly, in the Gurugram district, these institutions will also remain closed. This decision has been taken considering the communal tension in the neighboring district of Nuh. Once the situation is deemed safe and stable, educational activities are expected to resume as usual.

"Whereas information has been laid before the undersigned that due to communal tension in the neighboring district of Nuh, roads have been blocked by anti-social elements to disturb the peace and tranquility of society and public order in district Gurugram. In order to avoid any untoward incident its necessary to close Government and private educational institutions in the district in view of prevailing circumstances. Keeping in view of the above, it is hereby ordered that all government and private educational institutions shall remain closed on 1st August 2023 in the district Gurugram," said District Magistrate Gururam in a notice.

A similar order has been issued by the Faridabad district administration as well.

"Whereas the information has been laid before the undersigned that due to communal tension in nearby District Faridabad, roads have been blocked by anti-social elements to disturb the peace and tranquility of society in District Faridabad. During such circumstances, it is necessary to close the Government and private educational institutions in the District to avoid any untoward incident. Keeping in view of the above, it is hereby ordered that all Government and Private Education Institutions shall be closed on 01.08.2023 in District Faridabad," said Deputy Commissioner Faridabad.

The Haryana government has taken measures to contain communal tension in Nuh district by suspending mobile internet services until Wednesday. Home Minister Anil Vij announced that additional forces have been deployed from neighboring districts, and efforts are being made to send forces by helicopter as well.
