GATE 2019 registration begins at gate.iitm.ac.in; Check exam dates, eligibility, syllabus

GATE 2019: Online registration will close on September 21 at gate.iitm.ac.in.

GATE 2019: Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) registration process has commenced on the official website - gate.iitm.ac.in. The online window for the application process which began on Septem 1, will be closed on September 21. This year, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras will conduct the entrance exam. The test will be held in two shifts on February 2, 3 and February 9 and 10, 2019. The GATE is a national level examination, which is conducted to offer admission into M.Tech/M.Sc in engineering/technology/architecture and P.hD in relevant branches of science. GATE 2019: How to apply

The candidates can register and fill the application form only through online mode on the official website. GATE 2019: Eligibility

• All the candidates interested in applying need to possess a graduate in BE, BTech, BPharmacy, BArch, BSc (Research), BS, MA, MSc, MCA, Int MSc or Int BSMS in 2018, OR • The candidate should have completed their Int ME, MTech (post BSc) or a dual degree after 10+2 by 2019-20 Direct link - Complete eligibility criteria

GATE 2019: Exam pattern

• The exam will be conducted on 24 subjects including Aerospace Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Architecture and Planning, Biotechnology, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Mathematics and Mechanical Engineering among other subjects • A candidate is allowed to appear in only one paper in any one session • The exam consists of two sections • The questions will be of both multiple choice type and fill in the blanks type • Exam duration: 3 hours • Exam questions: 65 questions for a total of 100 marks • It will be an online computer based test • After the time is over, the computer will automatically close the screen • The paper will contain questions on general aptitude (15 marks), engineering mathematics (10-13 marks) and core engineering area of the candidate All the best!
