FMGE Exam Centres Increases Surveillance Following NEET Controversies
FMGE Exam 2024: Following controversies surrounding the NEET UG 2024 exam, officials have increased the security in FMGE exam centres by appointing 255 assessors.
FMGE Exam 2024: Following controversies surrounding the NEET UG 2024 exam, Ministry of Home Affairs officials visited the Command Center in Dwarka for the FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduate Examination). Officials also inspected the NBEMS headquarters but found no problems reported. Officials have increased security by appointing 255 assessors across 71 centres. They've also sent 53 faculty members to help out. DGHS has put 71 people in charge of the centres and has 42 NBEMS workers on duty.
Today, 35,819 students are appearing for the FMGE examination. Reports say the exams are running smoothly at all centres. At the Command Center in Dwarka, NBEMS officials, senior officers, 20 TCS officers, and local police are all keeping a close watch. Live CCTV is being used at every centre.

Yesterday, the Kerala Cyber Police registered a case on Thursday following a social media announcement that the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) question paper and answer key were for sale, as reported by news agency PTI.
A spokesperson from the state police said that the City Cyber Crime Police in Thiruvananthapuram have filed a case against groups promoting the sale of exam question papers for the July 6, 2024 exam on Telegram. This is the first case in the state to be filed under the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act 2024, according to the spokesperson's statement.
What Is FMGE Exam?
The FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduate Examination) is a medical licensing examination regulated by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) and established under the Screening Test Regulations of 2002 by the Medical Council of India (MCI). It is mandatory for Indian citizens or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders who have completed their medical education abroad and desire to practice medicine in India. Passing the FMGE is essential to qualify for provisional or permanent registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or any State Medical Council.
