DU Reopening: Delhi University To Reopen Tomorrow- Check Important Guidelines Here

DU Reopening: DU has decided to resume online classes following approval by the Delhi Disaster Management Authority on 30 August 2021 for the reopening of educational institutions.

DU Reopening: In view of the decline in the number of covid-19 cases in Delhi, Delhi University has decided to reopen its campus in a phased manner. DU is going to reopen from tomorrow i.e. 15th September 2021. DU has decided to resume online classes following approval by the Delhi Disaster Management Authority on 30 August 2021 for the reopening of educational institutions. After which Delhi University is going to open for students once again with covid-19 guidelines.

Along with physical classes, online classes for students will also continue. Thus, teaching and learning in a hybrid manner will be followed by the varsity in a phased manner. According to the official notification issued by the University Grants Commission, the varsity will have to follow certain SOPs while reopening the campus. In these guidelines, some measures will have to be followed like monitoring of health and prompt reporting of any disease, use of the Aarogya Setu app, washing hands at regular intervals and maintaining social distancing of six feet. These guidelines will be followed by all the stakeholders visiting the campus.

Important guidelines:

1. Teaching and non-teaching staff should receive both doses of the COVID-19 vaccination at the earliest.

2. Students who are visiting colleges, departments, universities should get at least one dose of the covid-19 vaccine. However, it is necessary for the residents of the campus to have a full vaccination.

3. Theory classes for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses will be conducted online till further notification.

4. The department may give the respective slots to the students for visiting the library.

5. Final year UG and PG students will be allowed to attend practical and library classes. However, classes will resume with 50% capacity. Only those experiments, practicals which are required for the upcoming semester will be conducted by DU.

6. Attending physical classes is optional. Hence attendance in classes is not mandatory.

7. Further, if the Evening College and Morning College are sharing the same campus for conducting classes, then a conductive time table should be followed by the colleges for conducting physical classes.
