Delhi Nursery Admission 2025: The admission process for entry-level classes, including pre-school (nursery), pre-primary (KG), and Class 1, in Delhi's private schools has begun. Parents can submit applications for children under six years old on the official website at edudel.nic.in. The last date to apply is December 20. A fee of Rs 25 is required while filling out the application form. The first list of selected students will be released on January 17, 2025.

Delhi Nursery Admission 2025: Eligibility Criteria & Required Documents

Eligibility:

  • Nursery: Children should not be older than 4 years.
  • KG: Children should not be older than 5 years.
  • Class 1: Children should not be older than 6 years.

Documents Required for General Category:

  • Passport (child or parent).
  • Domicile certificate (child or parent).
  • Aadhaar card or UID card (either parent).
  • Ration card or smart card with the child’s name.
  • Voter ID (EPIC) of either parent.
  • Electricity, water, or MTNL telephone bill in the parent’s name.

Additional Documents for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS):

  • Income certificate issued by a Revenue Officer (not below the rank of Tehsildar), or
  • BPL, AAY, or Food Security Card issued by Food and Civil Supplies Department.

Additional Documents for Disadvantaged Groups:

  • SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) certificate issued by a Revenue Officer (not below the rank of Tehsildar).
  • For children with special needs or disabilities: Certificate issued by a government hospital.
  • Orphan or transgender: Valid documentary evidence.
  • For children living with or affected by HIV: Relevant documentary evidence.
