CUET UG Preparation: Mock Tests Can Help Students Gain Familiarity

As CUET UG gains more acceptance and more Universities adopt it, the competition levels are set to increase further.

Class XII is an exciting time for a student as they are on the cusp of college admissions which bring with them a lot of hope and brightness. Previously, up until 2021, most University admissions in universities like Delhi University (DU), Banaras Hindu University (BHU) etc. were determined based on the Class XIIth board exams' marks. All of this changed with the introduction of the Common University Entrance Test or CUET.

CUET is based on the class XII curriculum and currently, it is the only way for students to gain entry to nearly 250 prestigious Universities including DU, BHU, AMU, JNU etc. The students can choose a maximum of 6 subjects from a list of 33 languages, 27 domain-specific subjects and general awareness. CUET in its current avatar, is conducted by the National Testing Agency and over 16 Lakh candidates registered for it in 2023 which makes it one of the largest competitive exams in India.

As CUET UG gains more acceptance and more Universities adopt it, the competition levels are set to increase further. Currently, there are not many solutions that can help students prepare effectively for the CUET UG exam. Most solutions rely on old topical coverage maps, don’t simulate the exam conditions well enough and are not prescriptive with diagnostics which leaves a lot to be desired.

To effectively prepare for CUET UG in such a competitive environment ExamFactor, an ABP initiative has launched its Mock Test packs as a solution for the students. The ExamFactor Mock Tests are built with the help of experts who have deeply studied the pattern of CUET UG exams and have designed these mock tests to resemble the actual exam as closely as possible. The key features of the mock tests are as follows:

  1. CUET UG affinity: One of the important features of any mock test that determines its effectiveness is how closely it resembles the actual exam. With experts having decades of experience the ExamFactor mock tests have been built keeping the CUET UG mindset in consideration. The level of difficulty, topical coverage and weights, all closely match the actual CUET UG exam.
  2. Prescriptive diagnostics: The effectiveness of any mock is not just dependent on the fact that how close it is to the actual exam but also, on what kind of analysis it can provide to the students about their performance. ExamFactor mock tests, deep dive into the strengths and weaknesses of a student, giving them a path to work upon. This helps students work on their weak areas and emerge with much more well-rounded knowledge.
  3. Realistic exam simulation: Another feature of ExamFactor mock tests is that it features Live Mocks, where all students prepare and attempt the mock test at the same time. This gives an actual taste of the exam to the student and teaches them time management, pressure handling and speed. This controlled environment helps build the confidence of students before the actual exam.

These factors have helped ExamFactor develop a mock test that meets all the requirements of a student preparing for top spots in the CUET UG exam. It helps students identify their weak areas and gives them a taste of the actual exam several times beforehand so that they can be confident when they enter the exam hall that they will perform well.

The ExamFactor is also introducing a series of crash courses covering all major subjects by the end of the month. These courses are designed specifically for time-constrained students who need support in practice, revision, and testing. Since the exam's difficulty level is moderate, the last few days can positively impact any aspirant.
