CBSE Class 12 Chemistry Exam Paper Analysis: Difficulty, Length, Overall Pattern

As per students and educators, the CBSE 12th Chemistry Exam Paper had moderate difficulty levels and also had a good length of questions alongside easy conversions.

The CBSE Board Exams 2024 are underway and candidates appeared for the Class 12 Chemistry paper today. An essential subject for Science aspirants, the Chemistry paper special attention for those looking to or preparing for prestigious national-level examinations. Since the Chemistry subject is equally important for exams like NEET as well as the JEE. Hence, a thorough hold on the subject is equally demanding for medical as well as engineering aspirants, especially those who look forward to taking up a Chemistry-heavy career path like one among different streams of Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, and others. 

In order to help students with a close insight into their Chemistry preparations, the Class 12th Chemistry Board exam paper plays a crucial role. The CBSE 12th chemistry Exam paper was held from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm today, and an overall analysis of the exam paper suggests that the paper had a moderate difficulty and a good overall length. The CBSE 12th Chemistry paper today consisted of 5 sections, where Section A consisted of questions carrying 1 mark each, while Section B consisted of questions carrying 2 marks each. Sections C, D, and E consisted of questions carrying 3, 4, and 5 marks respectively.

As per Ekansh Agarwal, a student of the Shiv Nadar School Noida, "Questions were mostly from NCERT, glad I prepared from it.” Another student of the school Pahal Agarwal said, "Paper was as expected and did not have any unseen questions. Conversions were easy.

“The Grade 12 Chemistry paper was balanced and included conceptual questions from NCERT and Exemplar designed to test the application-based knowledge of students,” said Anshu Taneja, Educator, Senior Years, Shiv Nadar School Faridabad

Speaking on the Chemistry paper, Ms.Deepali Srivastava; Educator Senior Years; Shiv Nadar School, Noida, said, “The exam paper was balanced and presented a combination of easy to moderate-level understanding-based conceptual questions. The paper wasn’t lengthy and manageable in the stipulated time.”
