CUET UG 2024: Registrations Begin On cuetug.ntaonline.in, Apply By March 26

As per the official announcement, the the admit cards for the CUET UG 2024 Exam will be released in the second week of May, while the exams will be conducted from May 15 to May 31, 2024.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started the registration process for the CUET (Central Universities Entrance Test) UG 2024 Exam. Interested and eligible candidates who are gearing up for the national-level central universities undergraduate entrance exam can submit their registration cum application forms online on the official website -  cuetug.ntaonline.in. The last date to apply for CUET UG 2024 Exam is March 26, 2024. 

While the application process for the CUET UG 2024 Exam has begun, candidates may note that the NTA has already announced the dates for the exams. As per the official announcement, the CUET UG 2024 Exam will be conducted from May 15 to May 31, 2024. Following the closure of the application window, candidates will also be able to make changes to their online applications from March 28 to March 29, 2024 (till 11:50 pm). While admit cards for the exam are slated to be released in the second week of May 2024, the CUET UG 2024 Result will be tentatively announced on June 30, 2024. 

No major changes in the exam pattern and the CUET UG 2024 Exam will be similar to its previous iterations. The exam will be held in the online CBT (Computer Based Test) mode in multiple shifts during the examination period. As earlier, the CUET UG 2024 Exam will also be held in 13 different languages which include: English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.

Notably, the CUET UG is a national-level exam conducted by the NTA every year to shortlist suitable candidates for admission into undergraduate degree programmes offered by various central universities across the country. However, before applying for the exam, interested candidates are advised to carefully check the detailed eligibility criteria of their desired central university for their programme of choice. This is because every central university has its eligibility criteria for offering admissions into its various UG courses. Speaking on this occasion Viney (Product Head) from the CUET UG preparation platform ExamFactor mentioned, "The announcement of form filling date has cleared the timeline for CUET UG 2024. Students now must start thinking about CUET UG along with their exams and decide on the subjects they want to write the exam for. We have developed an online tool for students to decide on subjects and will also be helping them through our webinars on YouTube"

CUET UG 2024: Eligibility Criteria

To apply for CUET UG 2024 Exam, candidates must have passed any one of the following qualifying exams:

  • The final examination of the 10+2 system is conducted by any recognized Central/ State Board, such as the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi; Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi; etc. 
  • Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.
  • Final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy
  • Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects.
  • Any Public School/ Board/ University examination in India or any foreign country is recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
  • Higher Secondary Certificate Vocational Examination. 
  • A Diploma recognized by AICTE or a State board of technical education of at least 3 years duration.
  • General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
  • High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.
  • Candidates who have completed the Class 12 (or equivalent) examination outside India or from a Board not specified above should produce a certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) to the effect that the examination they have passed is equivalent to the Class 12 Examination. 
  • In case the Class 12 Examination is not a public examination, the candidate must have passed at least one public (Board or Pre-University) examination earlier.

  • On the homepage, click on the link to register for CUET UG 2024
  • Register online using your basic details and generate your login credentials
  • Log in and fill in the application form
  • Upload relevant documents as required
  • Pay the application fee online
  • Submit the application
  • Download the application confirmation page for future reference
