CBSE Class 10 Hindi Paper Analysis: 'Paper Was Good, But Some Tricky Questions,' Say Teachers

Asha Singh, a Teacher from Shiv Nadar School, Noida, found the question paper suitable for students.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted the Class 10 Hindi Course A and Hindi Course B papers, along with the Class 12 Hindustani Music, Automotive, Health Care and Cost Accounting papers today, February 21, 2024. All these examinations commenced at 10:30 am. Feedback from Teachers and students regarding today's CBSE Hindi exam indicates a mixed experience.

Surjeet Dogra Teacher Senior Years, Shiv Nadar School, Gurgaon said, "The paper was good. Section A had 40 MCQs, which were tricky regarding the Unseen Passages. Question 3 (V)- options (B) and (C) are both correct.  The rest of the paper was well-structured."

Asha Singh, a Teacher from Shiv Nadar School, Noida, found the question paper suitable for students but highlighted the difficulty in understanding certain words and the paper's lengthiness.

"The level of the question paper was appropriate for the students. All three sets were easy. However, students faced some difficulty in reading/understanding certain words. Some words in the unseen passage were challenging for the students. The paper was quite lengthy," Asha Singh said.

Another Teacher Gayatri Sharma noted some questions' moderate difficulty, especially in the grammar section.

"Students found the paper to be manageable. Unseen passages were consistent across all sets. Students noted that 2-3 questions were moderate, while the rest were quite good, with an average expected score of 7 out of 10. In the grammar section, 70% of the questions were easy to attempt, but the remaining 30% were tricky. The similarity in the options for multiple-choice questions (MCQs) created some confusion among students," Gayatri Sharma said.

Avi Saraf, a Grade 10 student from Shiv Nadar School, Faridabad said, "The literature section was both easy and lengthy. While questions from different chapters and poems varied, questions from 'Sanchayan' remained consistent. The creative writing section posed no significant challenges, allowing students to express their thoughts effectively."

Overall, while the exam presented some challenges, students and Teachers navigated through them to the best of their abilities, showcasing their proficiency in the subject.
