CBSE Exam 2021 Datesheet: More Clarity On Exam Dates On Dec 22? Here’s What We Know So Far

The Education Minister is set to hold a webinar with teachers on December 22. Can students expect clarity on exam dates?

New Delhi: Students are eagerly waiting for the dates of the upcoming CBSE board exams. It is expected that the Education Minister may provide some clarity on it in the upcoming webinar scheduled for December 22 at 4 PM. The Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal will hold a live webinar with teachers and will address the concerns about the upcoming CBSE and other board exams, and seek their suggestions on it. Earlier the minister had said that teachers can share their queries, concerns, and suggestions on Twitter and Facebook by using #EducationMinisterGoesLive. ALSO READ: Bihar Schools To Reopen From Jan 4, 2021; Classroom Teaching To Resume For Senior Sections What we know so far Written mode: The Board had earlier said that the exams, as and when they are conducted, will be in the written mode and not in an online mode. "No final decision has been taken regarding the dates for the conduct of board exams, and consultations with stakeholders are still in process. The exams, as and when they are conducted, will be in the written mode and not in an online mode. The exams will be conducted following all Covid protocols," said a senior CBSE official said. Students may be allowed more time: On December 10, 2020, Pokhriyal had held a live session to answer the concerns of students and parents. Although the dates were not announced during the webinar, Pokhriyal said that the board exams will be held, and if the situation does not improve in the near future, then students will be allowed more time. Syllabus: The CBSE has reduced the syllabus for the exams by 30 percent and the revised syllabus is available on the official website. The CBSE has also released sample papers and marking schemes for the upcoming Board exams. The Board has also released a new question paper design and the evaluation scheme for the class 10 board exam. More Gap days between exams: In a report by Times Of India, Sanyam Bhardwaj, the Controller of Examinations, had said that students may get more gap days between exams. Schools may also get more than two months to conduct practical exams with all Covid-19 protocols. Alternatives to practicals: The Board had also said that since regular classes were not being held then alternatives to practical exams will be explored.
