CBSE To Ban Students For Two Years If Caught Cheating During Exams Or Spreading Rumours

To prevent cheating and ensure fairness, CBSE has implemented strict measures for the 2025 board exams, including a ban on electronic devices and increased penalties for violators.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has introduced stringent measures to prevent cheating and the use of unfair means during the upcoming CBSE Boards Examination 2025 for classes 10th and 12th.

The board has made it clear that the use of mobile phones or any electronic devices will be strictly prohibited in the examination halls.

Students caught violating these rules could face a ban from taking the exams for up to two years, an increase from the previous one-year ban.

Action Against Spreading Rumors

In addition to banning electronic devices, spreading rumours on social media about the examination has also been classified as a form of malpractice by the board.

Dr Sanyam Bhardwaj, the examination controller, said that false information regarding the exams had been circulated by students in the past. To combat this, the board has implemented stricter measures this year.

CCTV Surveillance in Exam Centers

To ensure transparency and fairness, all examination centres will be equipped with CCTV cameras. Strict action will be taken against any student found bringing or using electronic devices inside the examination premises.

The CBSE board exams are scheduled to begin on February 15. The board has urged students to refrain from using unfair means and to follow all exam rules to maintain the integrity of the examination process. These steps have been taken to preserve the sanctity of the exams and ensure fairness for all students.
