CBSE Board 2021 Class 12 Time Table: Date Sheet Out! Here's All You Need To Know

As earlier announced, the CBSE board exams begin on May 4 and the first one will be for the English subject. Besides the dates, the document also lists some of the norms to be followed during the Class 12 board exams.

New Delhi: The date sheet for Class 10 and 12 board exams was finally released by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Tuesday. Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank made the announcement.

The Class 10 and 12 exams will begin on May 4, and they are scheduled to be concluded by June 10, 2021. Schools have been allowed to conduct practicals for both classes from March 1, till the last date for conducting theory exams.

The CBSE board exams will begin with the English exam on May 4. Besides the dates, the document also lists some of the norms to be followed during the Class 12 board exams. The exams have been divided into shifts i.e the Morning Shift (10:00 am) and the afternoon shift (2:00 pm).

"Class-XII examinations would be conducted in 2 shifts to reduce the number of days in conducting examinations. In the second shift, examinations will be conducted in subjects that are not opted by students in schools situated abroad,": Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)

The exams will be conducted offline because several students may be at a disadvantage otherwise due to lack of required set up for sitting in the online exam. 

"We need a laptop and stable internet and electricity for each student which is a challenge. A percentage of students do not have equal access to education. While we have used unique methods to teach students but having such methods for exams might not be fair," Pokhriyal had said while announcing the dates in December last year.

As informed previously, there will be 33 percent internal choices in the exam thus giving students a better opportunity to score marks. Overall, the marks are going to be given on an 80:20 basis, as usual, that is theory papers will carry 80 marks and internal assessment will be of 20 marks.
