CAT 2022 Exam Today: Know Important Points To Remember

IIM Bangalore is holding the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2022 exam today. Here are the important points for candidates to remember.

New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore is conducting the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2022 exam on Sunday, November 27, 2022.  The exam will be administered in three sessions at 151 test cities around the country. Candidates must report to the exam centre by the reporting time specified on their CAT 2022 admit card.

It is important to arrive at the exam centre one hour and thirty minutes before the exam begins. The deadline for entries is 15 minutes before the start time. Candidates are not permitted to enter the exam hall 15 minutes after the examination begins.

For the convenience of the candidates, a Google Maps link incorporated in the electronic version of the admit card may be especially useful in locating the test location.

The first slot of the exam (forenoon session) is from 8:30 am to 10:30 am, the second session (afternoon session) is from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm, and the third session is from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm, according to the CAT exam timetable.

Once the candidates enter the examination centre, valid admit card and original ID proof will be checked by the exam staff and will be informed about the designated lab

Important Points To Remember

  • Candidates must remember to carry their CAT 2022 admit card (affixed with the photograph) and original ID proof. PwD candidates with Scribe must carry a Scribe affidavit along with them to the test centre.

  • Socks, plain pullovers, sweaters and cardigans (without any pockets) are allowed inside the test lab, it is important to follow the dress code. 

  • Prohibited items will be removed from the candidates if found during frisking. 

  • Candidates with metal implants, pacemakers, etc. in their body are required to bring a supporting medical certificate of the same to the test centre.

  • Candidates have to go through the IRIS scanning and photo capture process during registration inside the exam hall.

  • Ensure details such as name and photographs appearing on the computer screen is correct and there is no discrepancy in the signature on the attendance sheet.

  • Candidates will not be allowed to leave the exam hall before the test ends unless it is a medical emergency.
